The Deal Centre (Age Concern Deal Centre for the Retired Ltd) is a registered charity offering social opportunities for people aged over 50 and volunteers. It is a one-stop shop that offers services, activities, information and support to promote active ageing in an age-friendly environment.

  • Dementia Cafe

    If you have dementia or are caring for someone with dementia, come along to the local cafe at the Deal Centre on the third Wednesday of each month from 10.30 to 12.30.

  • Dementia Outreach Service

    Dementia Outreach Service for Carers, Deal and Sandwich Area. This service provides free one-to-one support, advice and information for the main carer in order that the stresses and strains associated with the role may be alleviated.     Carers Lunch First Thursday of each month at The Deal Centre. 
    If you are caring for someone with dementia bring them along and join us once a month from 1.00 pm until 2.45 pm for a two-course meal followed by tea or coffee for £7.50. Our lunches are a great way to socialise and meet others who share similar life experiences.


  • Dementia friendly taxi services

    Dementia friendly Deal took another positive step forwards last week to spread better awareness of dementia within the town through their information sessions, with Direct Cars becoming the first taxi service in Deal to become recognised as dementia friendly.


  • Independent Living Support


    How can we help? We can assist you with household chores such as laundry, ironing and general light housework.We can assist with transport to medical appointments or social activities, including preparation for social events in your home.We can take you shopping, do your shopping for you and deliver the items to your door or we can process internet shopping orders for delivery to you. 
    How much does it cost? The Independent Living Support Service costs £11.50 per hour. Mileage is charged at .40p per mile if we travel over 5 miles to transport you to any appointments etc.…For more information, click on Independent Living Support on the blue side bar.
